How to delete it
- Open Settings — the gear on Home.
- Scroll to Privacy.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
There is no form on this page, and that is deliberate — see
why there is no form here. If you want a copy of
your data first, Settings → Privacy → Export my data
produces one; after deletion there is nothing left to export.
What is deleted
The account is hard-deleted — removed, not flagged or
hidden — and everything tied to it goes in the same operation:
- Your profile and display name
- Every hand and decision recorded against you, and the accuracy that was
computed from them
- Your points ledger, level, awards and streaks
- Your season ranks — the account disappears from every leaderboard,
global, friends and season alike
- Your friend connections and any invite links you issued
- Your device's session token, which stops working the moment it is done
There is no undo, no grace period and no copy we can restore. Chips and
progress are gone; opening the app again mints a new anonymous account that
starts at nothing.
What is kept, and why
Your advertising and tracking choices outlive the account.
When you delete it, the record of each consent decision — the purpose,
whether you granted it, and when — is kept. It is detached from the deleted
account first, so it no longer points at a user; what remains is that a
choice of that kind was made at that time.
We keep it because a consent record is the only evidence that consent was
asked for and given properly, and we have to be able to demonstrate that.
It cannot be used to identify you, to advertise to you, or to rebuild an
account, and it holds nothing about how you played.
That is the only exception. Technical logs written by the host — request
lines, no account content — age out on a short rolling window of their own
and are not searched or reconstructed into anything. The
Privacy Policy sets out both in full.
How long it takes
Immediately. The deletion runs as a single database
transaction while you wait: by the time the confirmation is on screen the
account and its rows are gone and the token has stopped working. Nothing is
queued for later and there is nothing to chase up.
Backups are the one lag, and they are not searchable: the host's encrypted
snapshots roll forward on their own schedule and a deleted account leaves
them as they expire. No snapshot is ever restored to bring an account back.
Why there is no form on this page
Acetique accounts are anonymous. There is no email address,
no username and no sign-in — the app mints a token on first launch and that
token is the account. So a web form here would have nothing to look you up
by, and the honest options are a form that deletes the wrong account or a
form that deletes nothing.
The app is the proof that an account is yours: a request made from it is
authenticated, an email is not. That is why deletion lives there. It is a
consequence of collecting so little, not an attempt to make deletion hard —
it is one tap and it needs no contact with us at all.
If you have already deleted the app
Write to support@acetique.app and
we will do what we can. Be aware of what the paragraph above means in
practice: with no account identifier there may be nothing we can match you
to, and we would rather say so than delete a stranger's account on a guess.
Tell us roughly when you played and the display name you used, if you set
one.
The simpler route, if the phone still has the account on it, is to reinstall
the app — the account comes back with the device token — and delete it from
Settings → Privacy. Reinstalling on a
different phone does not: a new device is a new anonymous account.
Everything else we hold
The Privacy Policy is the full account of what is
collected, why, and who it reaches — including
your rights to access, export and deletion and
the consent-record exception quoted
above. Questions that this page does not answer go to
support@acetique.app, and a person
reads them.
