Terms

The rules of a table where nothing is at stake.

Short, because most of what governs the app is Apple's standard licence agreement. What follows is the part that is specific to a blackjack trainer: play money, the leaderboards, and what the chart does and does not promise.

Effective 15 August 2026

The agreement, and what it consists of

Acetique is published by Proseweave LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its registered address at 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. "We" and "us" below mean Proseweave LLC.

By using Acetique you accept these Terms. If you do not, the remedy is to stop using the app and delete it.

Your licence to the app itself is Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement — the standard EULA every App Store app carries unless its developer supplies another. We supply no other one. These Terms sit alongside it and add the rules below; where the two conflict about the licence to the app, the EULA governs. What we do with your data is in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

You must be 18 or older to use Acetique.

Play money, and nothing else

Acetique is not gambling. The chips, the bankroll, the points, the levels and the leaderboard positions are scorekeeping devices inside a practice app. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged, and nothing cashes out.

Nothing you do wins or loses real money, and no real wager is ever placed. Chips are dealt to you at the start, earned by playing, or topped up by choosing to watch a rewarded video — never by paying for them.

Because they are not property, we may adjust, reset or recalculate balances, points and ranks where a bug, a season rollover or an integrity problem produced a wrong number. We will not do it to punish ordinary play.

Display names, leaderboards and fair play

A display name is optional and is shown to other players on the boards. Choose one you would be happy to see in public:

  • Nothing obscene, hateful, harassing or threatening, and nothing that attacks people for who they are.
  • Nothing impersonating somebody else, and nothing pretending to be us or to speak for the app.
  • Nothing that advertises, spams, or sends people somewhere else.
  • Nobody else's personal information — and since the name is public, think twice before it is your own.

We may reset a name that breaks these rules, and remove an account from the boards or close it if it keeps happening.

Play it yourself. Scoring runs on our servers and every decision is graded there, so a submitted score is never taken on trust. Do not automate play, script the app, tamper with its traffic, or run several accounts to move yourself up a board. We record signals that a board is being gamed, and may correct scores, remove an account from the standings, or close it. The same goes for accounts that attack the service or load it unreasonably.

What the strategy chart is — and is not

Acetique grades your decisions against a basic strategy chart for one rule set: six decks, dealer stands on soft 17, double after split allowed, late surrender available — with the H17 overrides applied when the app is set to a dealer who hits soft 17. Within those rules the chart is the mathematically correct play, and "correct" on your screen means correct for that chart.

It is not advice about any real table. Real casinos vary the number of decks, the soft-17 rule, doubling, splitting, surrender and payouts, and each of those changes the right play. Basic strategy also reduces the house edge; it does not remove it, and no run of correct decisions makes blackjack a winning proposition over time. Nothing here is financial advice, and we promise nothing about how you will do anywhere other than in this app.

If gambling is causing you or someone you know harm, please seek help from a support service in your country.

Ads and the free app

Acetique is free and paid for by advertising. A full-screen ad comes up roughly every eight settled hands, never mid-hand, and rewarded videos are always optional — you choose to watch one, and the chips are yours whether or not the advertiser interests you. Ads come from Google AdMob; what they collect, and how to turn personalisation off, is in the Privacy Policy. We do not choose which ads appear and are not responsible for what an advertiser says.

Your account

An anonymous account is created on first launch — there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to remember. It lives on the device that created it, so deleting the app or wiping the device can lose access to it, and we cannot restore an account we have no way to identify. Export your data (Settings → Privacy → Export my data) if it matters to you.

You can delete the account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, and we may stop offering the app, or any part of it, at any time.

No warranty, and the limits of our liability

Acetique is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, free of faults, or that your progress will never be lost — though we take reasonable care with all three. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost progress, points or standings.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local law gives you.

Changes, and how to reach us

We may update these Terms; the effective date at the top says when they last changed, and continuing to use the app after that means the new version applies. If a change is significant, the app will say so.
